About the event
John Cappello is a 25-year U.S. Air Force veteran who served as Air Force attaché at the U.S. Embassies in Belgrade, Serbia, and Tel Aviv, Israel. A Command Pilot with over 3,000 flying hours, he has extensive experience in military aviation and international relations.
As president of the Halyard Mission Foundation, founded in 2015, John leads efforts to educate, commemorate, and raise awareness of the Halyard Mission—the daring WWII operation that rescued over 500 U.S. and Allied airmen, with Serbs playing a crucial role in its success. Under his leadership, the Halyard Mission Foundation has established a permanent memorial in Serbia at the site of the first rescue missions and collaborates with museums across the U.S. to share this important chapter of history.
The meeting is open to the public and no registration is required. Additional information can be found at www.centralpawwiiroundtable.com (make sure the real link is live here) or…
